Students analyze authentic comics and internet memes containing the conditional and imperfect subjunctive forms. They have to find the conditional and imperfect subjunctive verb forms in the comic/meme. Students also practice guessing in context and interpreting the comics and why they're funny. I include follow-up questions that relate to the meme/comic to help generate classroom conversation and participation. This is a great attention, co-construction, or extension activity to use when teaching the conditional, imperfect subjunctive, or “las cláusulas de si”!
