This conference binder is meant to keep you and your conferences organized. We all need that "back up" plan in case we ever need to revisit a previous conference. Did you document what you discussed properly? Do you know that you completed the conference or was it cancelled? Did you discuss the right topics in order to address the needs of your student and his/her parent/guardian? Sometimes those issues are something you did not even realize! That is what the student survey is for! Read below for more information:
1. Comes with 10 different binder cover designs to suit your personal style or classroom decor (one printer friendly version included).
2. Each design has a matching "conference log" page. This page is meant to keep track of the conferences you have (by student name), their time and date, and whether or not they have been completed.
3. A parent-teacher conference outline page. You can write who, when, where on this page, as well as notes for your conference. Some of the notes you fill out beforehand to make sure you cover everything you want to cover (I know I always forget something!). Some of the notes you fill out during or after the conference, like the future plans/goals section.
4. Three different forms of student survey are included: one with the seven habits included, one without the seven habits, and one editable version for you. The student survey is my most useful part of a conference. I have the parent/guardian and student fill one out prior to the conference, and I also fill one out prior to the conference. We compare each other's answers and are usually amazed at where we differ in opinion. The student may think he or she ALWAYS tries his/her best; however, the parent or teacher may think he or she only SOMETIMES tries his/her best. This is a great conversation starter in a conference.
