This 40-slide PowerPoint is perfect for introducing your students to the four main types of conflict that can be introduced in a story. The concept of conflict is presented in a step-by-step manner, and it includes a football player analogy to try to engage some of those students who might find this topic a little boring and/or unimportant.
It begins with a review of plot (and a plot diagram). Next, it includes explanations and examples of each of the four types of conflict. It concludes with 10 practice slides where students identify the type of conflict in 10 book summaries.
