Conflict Resolution Dialogue Cards
Teach your students to use these prompts as a guide toward independent, social problem solving between peers. Students will learn to articulate their feelings using "I" statements in addition to developing their listening skills.
Students can take turns using these cards during disagreements, or one child can invite the other to use the cards as a conflict resolution tool. They work well if they are displayed or laminated so students can hold the cards during their problem-solving discussions.
These are based on the Responsive Classroom model and have worked wonders in first through third grade classrooms. They help my students gain greater independence with solving problems and instill skills that they will carry with them beyond the classroom.
These cards are part of my Social & Emotional Skills Tool Kit!
