Product Description
An excellent conflict resolution/unit workshop as part of an American History and or Contemporary American History class. One group of students were equipped with concepts and skills aimed at handling conflicts in school and, by extension in the home and community. Through various workshops conducted by the National Conference of Community and Justice and the class teacher, the study of selected conflicts in American History, the development of an eight step process model for creative conflict resolution, and a mock trial centering on the fancy tale Rumplestiltskin, students felt less hopeless and helpless. Additionally, other resources used were speakers and field trips to the Sportus museum. The bottom line students learned how to intelligently resolve conflicts in order to survive in an increasingly violent world. 40$
