This activity comes with two anchor charts/handouts that introduce students to conflict in literature. Students will learn the difference between internal and external conflicts as well as more specific conflicts including person versus self, person versus nature, person versus person, and person versus society. There are a total of 32 cards describing a variety of situations involving all 4 types of conflict. Students must sort the cards in two ways: external or internal; and then continue classifying these into the four more specific categories of conflict. Great for collaborative groups or center activity.
There is also a ten question multiple choice quiz with 4 short answer questions as well. Answer keys are provided.
