There are many different types of story conflicts students need to identify while reading. In this Smartboard lesson, students can take notes for Interactive Notebooks and see examples of the different types and how they are categorized. The first few slides goes over definition of story conflict and gives characteristics of conflicts. The next slides focus on two types: internal and external. The slides following gives examples of internal and external conflicts with definitions. (Just click on pictures in slides to a link in conflict folder that explains each further). This lesson is all you need to either introduce or review story conflicts.
