Congruent Triangles Digital Activity Bundle: Distance Learning
Share

Description

This bundle is made up of three activities on congruent triangles.

One activity is made of of two Google Slides: drag & drop triangle pairs in the proper column of SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS, or Not Congruent. The second slide focuses on finding the missing piece of congruent parts to prove two triangles congruent through of of the given triangle congruence theorems.

The second activity focuses on triangle congruence proofs. Eight proofs are provided: 2 SSS, 2 SAS, 2 ASA, and 2 AAS. Four versions of the proofs are provided as well as an answer key. The slides can be rearranged for incorporating varying levels of difficulty.

The third activity focuses on proofs with CPCTC. Eight proofs are provided: 2 SSS, 2 SAS, 2 ASA, and 2 AAS, followed by proving CPCTC. Four versions of the proofs are provided as well as an answer key. The slides can be rearranged for incorporating varying levels of difficulty.

Know precise definitions of angle, circle, perpendicular line, parallel line, and line segment, based on the undefined notions of point, line, distance along a line, and distance around a circular arc.
Use the definition of congruence in terms of rigid motions to show that two triangles are congruent if and only if corresponding pairs of sides and corresponding pairs of angles are congruent.
Explain how the criteria for triangle congruence (ASA, SAS, and SSS) follow from the definition of congruence in terms of rigid motions.
