Congruent Triangles Task Cards: Congruent Triangles Criteria and Sequence of Rigid Motions
In geometry, when someone mentions congruent triangles, many people immediately think of the triangle congruence criteria to prove that two triangles are congruent. Another way to examine congruence is finding a sequence of rigid motions that maps one figure onto another figure. This set of task cards includes both of these ideas. In addition, students are asked to write congruency statements and find corresponding congruent parts. Students will also practice making the congruency markings for a pair of triangles when given a specific congruence criteria.
