This assignment was developed for the WNCP Math 20-2 Fundamentals of Mathematics course. This project requires students to apply what they have learned about angle and triangle relationships to seek out fundamental design principles used in corporate logos and marketing.
Students will seek out a library of logos which employ congruent triangles and/or parallel lines to create their own collection of recognizable shapes. They will then create their own logo utilizing these design elements.
This assignment takes around 3 class blocks to complete and walks students through the discovery of triangles in advertising, the key traits of shapes in visual design, the process fo designing their own logo and the assessment rubric to accompany all these tasks.
