This assignment is set up for students to engage themselves in the world of conjoined twins. This is always a neat topic to cover and students find themselves very intrigued in the whole process.
I have the students write a small, three parargraph, essay on their thoughts after reading the article. I also supplement the article with videos on YouTube about conjoined twins so they can see how these people live.
On the first page of this assignment, is a sheet that has the same thing printed on it three times. That is to save paper. I typically cut that sheet into three, and just make a class set of the article on conjoined twins that is provided. Usually I will give them 30 minutes in class, and the rest is due in two days.
