First Grade Grammar: Conjugations
Looking for a simple and engaging way to practice and assess basic conjugations? These booklets are a fun way to get students to use
conjugations while practicing sentence writing. Each student’s sentences will be unique. Encourage them to be creative and even silly when they have difficulty thinking of a sentence ending. Humor is a great way to get students engaged!
No prep is needed, just print and go. Students will read the sentence starters and then complete the sentences with an ending that fits each conjunction. Then they’ll color the cover, cut the pages apart and staple into a booklet.
★ 15 Booklets (each one has the same structure with different verbs)
These booklets can be used as both practice and assessment for first grade grammar standard: “Use frequently occurring conjunctions (e.g., and, but, or, so, because).” (CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.1.1.G)
