are sure to get your students’ attention with their colorful designs
. When students are zoning out and looking around the room, as we all know they do from time to time, they can still be learning! I am a firm believer that If students can learn conjunctions, they will have an easier time understanding where commas go in sentences. I find that most of my students’ grammar errors deal with comma usage.
These posters include:
► an eye-catching title poster for coordinating, subordinating, and correlative conjunctions
so that you can put the conjunctions underneath the proper title on your wall.
► 54 conjunctions printed 2 to a page
, so just print and cut in half (I would suggest that you spell out either FANBOYS OR BOYFANS with the coordinating conjunctions because that is an easy way to remember those. Each letter on the coordinating conjunctions is underlined to point out the acronym.)
►A student handout
is also included with the conjunctions listed under the proper categories if you want students to have a list to keep in their notebooks. These are the same conjunctions on the posters within the file.
I recommend printing these posters on cardstock and laminating them; that way, the posters will last until you retire.
ENJOY these beauties!
