Need a fun and flexible way to teach your students how to use coordinating and subordinating conjunctions? It can be serious, it can get a little silly - but it's imaginative and allows your students to have visuals to help them create and expand sentences using conjunctions.
Simply choose the type of conjunction (or challenge your students and use more than one!), flip over a Conjunction Starter card and see if your students can finish the sentence. If you want to make it that extra bit more challenging, cover up the words and work on different verb tenses and sentence constructions!
This is GREAT for mixed groups as each student can have their own goal adjusted - Conversation Starter Mats have also been added to encourage five -or- ten practices.
