Description

Use this interactive slideshow to teach your students the seven Coordinating Conjunctions.

First, students are introduced to the most frequently used Coordinating Conjunctions: and, or, but. They are shown how these conjunctions are used to connect words, phrases, and clauses. They work with their partners to identify the coordinating conjunction in a variety of sentences and to identify the words, phrases, clauses that are being connected.

Next, they learn about the four remaining Coordinating Conjunctions: for, yet, so, nor and their function in sentences.

Compound Sentences are also covered.

This resource contains 65 slides, including a FANBOYS mini poster.

There are comments with teaching tips for most of the slides.
