What a fun way to practice finding the greatest common factor of two numbers.
Students work in pairs to complete this task. Each student chooses a pair of numbers to find the GCF. Then they mark the square with that answer. As they take turns finding the GCF they work to connect four squares together in any configuration.
This activity can be used as a warm up and review, an assessment, a math center or a small group math activity to be monitored.
This relates to ccss: 5.NF.A.2, 5.NF.A.1, 5.NF.B.3, 6.NS.B.4
