Product Description
This lesson is designed to coincide with Chapter 8 in A Separate Peace to reinforce the theme of war in the novel.

Included is the text of the St. Crispin's Day speech in Shakespeare's Henry V play and the poem "The Charge of the Light Brigade" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. Students are asked several questions about the two pieces and have to make the connection (with prompts) to the novel.

Teacher's guide/answers are included with examples of similar themes in modern music & film. Can be done as an individual assignment or in groups.
