If your school is like mine, where administration and teachers have embraced technology in the classroom, you struggle keeping kids off their connective devices. I came up with this quick and easy mnemonic tool to help kids remember that phones need to be stowed away.
I ask my kids to NOT keep their phones in pockets, purses, backpacks, etc. They tend to think they need to sneak their phones. So, I place duck tape on the upper right hand corner of their desks. They are to place their phones screen-side down at all times when usage is prohibited. (Especially during tests. I even ask kids to turn their phones off at these times.)
The duck tape I use is the mustache tape, and here is the signage I have on my door, my walls... everywhere... to help them stay in line.
The tip is free... the PDF sign is $1.50. I hope it helps... Enjoy!
