Description
This close reading, grammar, and writing review game will engage your students as they critically think about sentence structure, nuances of word connotations, and clear, concise writing. Originally designed for use as a final exam review for my 10th grade students, this is suitable for use with grades 9-12 as a way to help students critically think and apply their skills.

Close Reading: Connotation/Denotation
Grammar/Punctuation: Essential vs. Non-Essential Clauses, Dependent Clauses, Parallel Structure, Sentence Fragments, Run-Ons (Comma Splice), Commas (phrases and clauses), Apostrophes, Who vs. Whom, Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement
Writing/Style: Imagery, Metaphor vs. Simile, Elimination of Clichés
