This worksheet helps students work with the conservation of linear momentum. The student is asked to draw a "before" picture and an "after" picture of each problem. Then, the student is asked to solve the problem numerically.
This is appropriate for a high school physics course. I usually use it as either an in-class activity or as homework right after I complete the "elastic collision" lab involving two carts on a track. It could also be used as a review of the concept of conservation of linear momentum for an AP Physics course.
