This is a perfect board game to use for an ELA lesson on consonant blends. Similar to many children's board games, my game requires use of any token available in your classroom. Using a token, students can practice attending skills and turn-taking to play this game. Students move the token and land on a consonant blend picture. Students can either verbally indicate the meaning or name of each sign, or match with larger flashcards. The possibilities are endless, depending on the skill level of your students. Either way, this is a perfect method to familiarize your students with consonant blends, as well as increase their skills in picture discrimination.
I have included 2 versions of the game. They can be played in one sitting or on separate occasions.
