Digraph Detectives is a file folder game that has students practice identifying digraphs and reading words with those digraphs in them. The digraphs included in this game are: sh, ch, th, ck, ph, and wh.
This download includes a cover for the file folder, two pages that make up the game board, and 4 pages of word cards to be cut out and laminated.
The game can be played with 2-4 students. Each student will need a game mover (not included). Students begin on the hat that says “start”. Word cards are placed facedown in the middle of the board. The first player draws a card and must read the word and identify the digraph in the word. If the player does both things correctly, then the player will advance to the closest digraph found in their word. If the digraph on the card is the last of that digraph on the board, the student must stay on that magnifying glass until they draw a card that allows them to move forward. If no cards are left, shuffle them and place them back into the start pile.
