Includes pieces to play I SPY with consonants, short and long vowels, digraphs, and blends.
Print on cardstock, laminate, and cut out the individual circles.
You can glue them to craft sticks and put in a bucket, basket, or cup. Pick a stick and read it to the class. Students have to find an object or think of a word that begins with the chosen sound.
You could use as a literacy center activity and have students play with a partner. A student recording sheet is provided (3 to a page) for students to write their responses for accountability.
This is a great activity to reinforce the sounds you have taught during whole group, work works, or even in guided reading. Add the sounds to the bucket or cup as you teach them. You can even differentiate for each group or ability level by printing multiple copies.
