This is a game I made for my students to use during center rotations. Students simply roll a die and read the consonant, vowel, or blends along with a word that features the consonant, vowel, or blend of the number they roll. The game can be differentiated for students who are not ready to blend words by having the student focus on letter and sound recognition. There are game boards for initial and final consonant sound, vowels, and consonant blends. This activity is aligned to the following common core standards.
RF.K.1- Demonstrate understanding of the organization and basic features of print.
RF.K.2- Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes).
RF.K.3- Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
