With the rubric and conspiracy theory list attached, students will put together a poster (or digital presentation) in the attempt to persuade their fellow classmates that the theory they chose (or were assigned) is true!
When I do this project, I have the students create a poster with their assigned theory as the title. Underneath the title,a brief description of the theory, then I have them search for three arguments. (We have Chromebooks available at my school.) Students must find proof for each argument. At the bottom of their poster, I ask them to write a conclusion that summarizes their beliefs and hopefully motivates the audience to change their opinion on the matter.
At the end of presentations, kids can vote on whether they believe or not.
