I use this on the 1st day of school with my seniors. I use it to introduce research and validity of source. I laminate these cards and have the students pick them out in groups of four. Then, they follow the directions (research three articles/use excerpts -- MLA -- from the text, etc.), and create posters with their topic and evidence. They also need to explain how the evidence proves whether they think there is any credence in the theory. I then, put up the posters around the room, and all the students walk around with post-its and say whether they think the research proves the researchers point or not. They write their reasons on the post-its and put it on the poster. We talk/reflect at the end. The students LOVE it. It takes about 80 minutes.
