The Constant Velocity and Acceleration Assessment comes in two versions to give teachers options as they check for student understanding of concepts involving motion, velocity, acceleration, and position-time graphs. Just to keep things interesting, one version of the assessment has a football theme and the other version has a pizza delivery theme. This helps teachers quickly tell the two versions apart.
Each assessment features a variety of questions and problems about motion with constant velocity and motion with acceleration. The questions and problems require students to make calculations, draw and interpret graphs, use motion maps, and explain their reasoning. Teachers may use one version as a review or formative assessment while the other version can be used for a unit test or a summative assessment. A teacher might also use both versions as sumative assessments within the same classroom to help students keep their eyes on their own papers. Another option is to use one version on test day and the other version as a make-up test on a later date. It is nice to have options!
