Representing constant of proportionality as words, equations, tables, and graphs is a new objective in 7th grade this year in Texas.
This product includes:
-A student answer document
-A paper divided by the stations for students to show their work
The students’ answer documents are divided into 4 corners. Each station requires the student to represent the constant of proportionality in 4 different ways. The students’ answer documents include a word problem for each station. At the station, the students get one more of their “4 corners”. 4 stations include the table, 3 stations include the graph, and 3 stations include the equation. Based on the word problem and the other information given at the station, the student has to complete the other two corners to represent the constant of proportionality.
I included a paper that is divided similarly to the student answer document so that you can copy that paper on the back of the answer document if you wish for your students to show their work in that space. Students can also use their math journals.
