This unit introduces the concept of constants in an experiment. It incorporates the hypothesis of the scientific method and was written for students with moderate to severe disabilities.
This unit is designed for 8th graders on the Virginia Alternative Assessment Standard for Science. It includes 1 quiz that when used with the other units on the scientific method, PARTIALLY meet the standard below.
This assessments address the bullet d) but does not address the standard's stem.

When the quiz in this unit is used in conjunction with the assessments from other units on the scientific methods, it solidifies the evidence that the student is able to demonstrate that a hypotheses includes an independent variable and a dependent variable.
