Constellation Flash Cards provides a way for students to learn to recognize the twelve zodiac constellations by name and shape using the Smartboard.
Each of the constellation slide starts with only the stars showing on the screen. The teacher can then click on a list of options and add more information such as the lines that make the stick figures, labels for the parts of the stick figures, the season, the official name, the common name, important stars, and finally, the picture of the object to bring it all together.
The slides are arranged in five sets, allowing the teacher to show the constellations in alphabetical order, chronological order, or in three different random orders. The presentation can be used multiple times for notes, identification practice, quizzes, and tests. Individual slides can also be used as backdrops for student-given reports to the class on constellations.
Teacher notes appear at the end of the presentation with instructions and extra information for use in the classroom.
