Description

Constitution Day: A Print and Go activity

Did you know it is a national law that you as a teacher are supposed to recognize Constitution Day in your classroom? The act states," that all publicly funded educational institutions provide educational programming on the history of the American Constitution on that day."

** a typo mentioned in a feedback comment was corrected and a new copy was uploaded** :-)

[.. NOTE... This activity says 'Constitution Day', but because it discusses the steps of how the Constitution was formed, it can really be used in any SS lesson when discussing the Constitution]

I know it is not always easy to squeeze it in, so I have made this easy poster to print and go. It does not include every detail of writing the Constitution, but it will give your students an over view and help them better understand what this very important document is.

This would be a great poster to use as your reading lesson on Constitution Day. I have bold faced important vocabulary that you could discuss.

And, I have include a few places for kids to color if they want, such as the arrows, and a few pictures of a few of the Founding Fathers.

Enjoy, and I hope this makes it easy for you to work this into your already tight schedule. :-)
