These 10 United States Constitution oriented questions and writing prompts can accompany your lesson on or around Constitution Day. All can be modified to be completed by an individual, pair, or group. This can also apply to a unit on early American History and the formation of American Government. This is also appropriate for when you have a sub. This is NOT in a bundle.
Sample questions/prompts include:
-How does the constitution apply to us as American citizens?
-What in society or politics instigates an amendment to the Constitution?
-Create a real world scenario illustrating each of the 10 Bill of Rights in action. Then, explain why each Bill of Rights is important enough that it was included in the Constitution from the very beginning (an example is provided)
-This interpretation debate continues to exist today, both politically and in all other aspects of life. Give two examples in the real world involving loose and strict interpretation of rules or laws. How about in this classroom? Is there ever a debate in interpretations and if so, give an example.
