This U.S. Constitution activity is perfect for Constitution Day or to add variety to a social studies lesson. The short pieces of informational text break down complexities in the Constitution for students in middle grades. Digital, print, and QR code options available.
Thirteen short pieces of text (1 - 2 paragraphs) serve as the clues. Students use these clues to search for the answers to 20 text-based Constitution questions included.
Text is appropriate for upper elementary and middle school students. It does include some challenging words due to the topic (representatives, Congress, Senate, amendment, proposed, veto, ratified...).Students may benefit from working with partners or in small groups.
