Description
The Constitution Day Unit includes a PowerPoint, a minibook, a game, a writing activity, and more Constitution-related activities. (Includes all 10 activities below.)

1) Preamble Vocabulary: Students chose "constitutional" vocabulary to define, use, and illustrate.
2) Interview a Founding Father: Students pretend to interview one of the Founding Fathers and draw his portrait.
3) Classroom Constitution Form: A class activity to alter the US Constitution to make it a Class Constitution.
4) Three Branches: Students write about the roles and importance of the 3 branches of government.
5) Students' Bill of Rights Poster: A poster showing students' rights and responsibilities in the classroom.
6) Rights and Responsibilities Game: A board game to identify responsibilities that go with our rights.
7) Constitution "I Have...Who Has" Game: A game for students to practice Constitution-related terms.
8) Constitution Timeline: Students illustrate important Constitution-related events and organize them in timeline form.
9) Constitution Day Minibook: A minibook about the history of the Constitution with follow-up questions included.
10) Constitution Day PowerPoint (PC Only): A PowerPoint to explain why and how the Constitution was written and to highlight important parts, including the 3 branches of government and the Bill of Rights. (10 slides)
