This two-page worksheet helps students explore the amendments at the end of the United States Constitution. The activity helps students gain confidence working with primary source materials as they reference the Constitution for their answers. Students will strengthen their understanding of how the U.S. government has changed over time and will practice critical thinking as they defend which amendments they feel are most important. Students will need access to a Constitution to complete this activity. Most U.S. history or government textbooks will include one, or they are readily available online. Both the student worksheet and a teacher answer sheet are available as PDF files.
