Students will be assigned a delegate to the Constitutional Convention. They will assume the role of that delegate while the convention is live reenacted through the use of a blog in class. Students will research background information on their delegate and how they felt/voted on important issues such as the Slave Trade and the Great Compromise. Students will be tasked with writing blog posts from the perspective of their delegate, voting in the same manner as their delegate, and holding lively and intellectual debate with other convention members about the issues of the day. Included in two week lesson are all rubrics, modified assignments, and a teacher's resource of each delegate and how they felt about major issues.
