This is a great tie in to history lessons. You can use it while teaching about the early peoples migrating to America or before Thanksgiving to show how pilgrims had to build houses to survive. This activity is great to complete when teaching about decimals and money!
*To test the shelters, I use a fan and water bottle to create the wind and rain.
