Constructing Stories is a great exercise for students to practice writing fictional stories. Six prompts are provided in this packet. Students will write four supporting sentences for the given story starter. Each supporting sentence has sequencing indicators (first, next, then, last) to help students stay on track.

-Write narratives in which they recount two or more appropriately sequenced events. Include some details regarding what happened, use temporal words to signal event order, and provide some sense of closure.
