Introduce students to geometric constructions using string and a straight edge!
In this lesson, a powerpoint guides students in constructing a circle, perpendicular bisectors, and replicating an angle. The powerpoint allows students to attempt constructions on their own first. Then, color-coded instructions show students how to do each construction.
The drawings work great on large paper, but copy paper works too. Notes are included on the powerpoint for the teacher. PDFs are also provided, one for the teacher to guide the lesson and one with student instructions. The student instructions could be given to a student to follow independently.
