My students love when they get to use task cards.
In this set of task cards you get:
16 different cards
an extension option that allows students to come up with synonyms and antonyms for the word and what part of speech the word is.
There are several ways I implement task cards in my room:
*Simply place the cards around the room (acting like a scavenger hunt or gallery walk) for students to read and answer.
*Place cards in a pocket chart and have students grab a card, sit down at their seat, complete the card and then grab another card when finished.
*Have students work as a team to figure out the meaning of the word. Give teams a couple minutes and then switch with another team and discuss to see what the teams came up with.
