Context Clues Clip Cards #2 for new readers
Here is a fun way to practice using story context clues to make sense of what one is reading! Version #1 is my best seller so I thought I would create more for you! This product includes 40 mini cards with one sentence on each. There is a missing word from the sentence with three picture choices to choose from below that make the sentence make sense. Students simply read the sentence with the blank and decide which word/picture makes the most sense or fits "best".
This low prep activity simply needs to be printed, cut, laminated, and clothespins or clips added to it. An alternative way to use this product is to include a dry erase marker so students can circle the part in the sentence that led them to the correct answer. Also, you can print these in gray scale, copy onto colored tag board, and use a hole punch to eliminate incorrect answers, leaving the correct answer only.
Any of these ways will give your students practice using the context of the story at a beginner reading level.
