Looking for fun table group names? This packet includes Continent labels for table groups or areas of the classroom. They fit well with a travel-theme classroom and serve as a geography review all year long.
Once you purchase, you can decide which pages to print based on the needs of your classroom.
*I’ve included the Table Group Labels in both Color and B&W.
*The cards are 5”x7” – I put them in photo frames.
*I’ve also made two different layouts for you – portrait and landscape.
*There are two continents per page to save on paper.
*I have included cards for both Australia and Oceania, depending on what you teach your students that continent is called
Note: I usually only have 4 groups, so I’ve designated other areas in my classroom as different continents. For example, my desk is Europe (my favorite place to travel to!), my small group table is Australia, and Antarctica is my “Cool Down” zone.
I've also included continent labels for the Continent Team Challenge Competition: Each week the students earn tally points for their "team" (table group) for answering questions correctly, being the first group cleaned up, waiting quietly, etc. Teams can also lose points for calling out, being off-task, arguing, disrespectful behavior, etc. On Friday the team with the most points wins either a prize from the treasure box (trinkets the kids go nuts for), a No Homework coupon, or a Lunch with the teacher coupon.
*I find the Team Challenge Competition is one of the best motivators for quality work and proper behavior - they are motivated by not only the incentive, but also the positive peer pressure from their group.*
