This resource provides a PPT introduction to both Wegener's theory of continental drift and Hess's seafloor spreading. PPT is 10 slides long, equipt with both background information, pictures, and animations. Two versions of notes included: One with blanks, and one with blanks filled in. Words are underlined in the PPT for students. Also included is a homework assignment on the Glomar Challenger. I like to give the students the homework ahead of time and make it due the day they take notes. This allows for students to do some of their own research ahead of time. These resources are appropriate for a 6th to 8th grade classroom. Please see the preview before purchase.
