What educators are saying

I used this as a quick refresher to geography before we started our social studies unit. It worked perfectly!
You would not believe how little my 5th graders know/knew about mapping and geography. This was really helpful. A great find.

Description

Teaching basic geography skills including mapping is so critical in elementary school. We want students to have a basic understanding of world geography--and that starts with understanding about the continents and oceans.

This mapping resource is a three day lesson to help you introduce introduce or review the geography of continents and oceans to your intermediate students. It includes a simple pretest, an art/geography/measurement activity with directions and step by step photos, a blank world map and continent outlines, suggestions for use, and several other extension activities. There is more than enough to fill three full days for you or a substitute!
