Jigsaw: Break the class up into groups of 3. Each student in the group will receive 2 cards with a number on it. The number will represent what type of hormonal method that student will be researching. The students will be allowed to use their books and pamphlets that I have printed off for them to help find answers related to their contraceptive. They will find the information related to their contraceptive on their own. Encourage the students to take good notes so they can relay the information back to the rest of the group. Once they are finished, the students will find everyone in the class that researched the same contraceptive as them. They should be looking to see if they missed any important information. After about 3 minutes, put the students back into their original groups. Each student must teach the rest of their group members about their researched contraceptive. On a piece of paper, have one member of the group provide a brief description of each hormonal method to be handed in. Nothing more than one or two facts about each one.
