Contraction Match is a great way for your students to learn and practice contractions. This activity includes 46 different contractions, each contraction occurring 4 times on the cards. There are 10 different color-coded sets (2 different cards in each set), with 9 contractions on each card. There are 2 difficulty options to allow for differentiation. The first level allows color-coded cards to be used. This is an easier option as it reduces the choices. In the harder option, use the gray cards which are not directly linked to a specific color game card. If you use the gray cards, be sure to print enough copies for use with multiple game cards (I have printed 4 copies of these). My kids love using the color coded cards as a memory game and this is always a popular activity during literacy centers.
