What educators are saying
Description
Do your students put an apostrophe in every word ending in s? This resource has a few tricks to help them remember when to use the punctuation (possessives and contractions) and when NOT to use it (plurals).
Why use Contractions and Possessives When do I Use an Apostrophe? Research on the brain and learning tells us that students need little tricks to help them remember certain concepts. This resource shares a couple of stories that will help the children remember when to use that apostrophe and when NOT to use it. (See this blog post for more information.)
How it works: This resource has two stories to share: one about the use of apostrophes in contractions, and one about the use of apostrophes in possessives. Plus, there are 4 different activities for the children to practice what they’ve learned.
