Explore Color Theory with this Contrasting Colors Complementary Colors short lesson and Photography Art Project. This hands-on activity for 6th through 12th grade is designed to enhance their understanding of Color Theory while building essential composition skills.
The first section has a brief lesson on Contrasting Colors. Section two has photography projects, including 3 prompts with student examples. After taking the photographs, students will edit the photos in Photoshop or other editing software.
Students will need access to a dslr camera or cell phone camera and Photoshop or other editing software to complete this project. The tutorial is easy to teach and follow for students.
