I used this in an anatomy class but this can be used in any science class perhaps. It is an independent scientific controversy project that students can do. They can pick any topic they choose and research both sides of the controversy and fill out a fact sheet using MLA format. I typically have this due one day, review it, give partial project credit for it, and then have their visual/presentation due a week later. The rubrics are attached for each of the 3 components of the project as is the fact sheet.
