My students struggled with how to decide if a sequence/series was converging or diverging. Most forgot to first determine if it was arithmetic or geometric. So I created this flow chart for them to use to get in the habit of asking themselves the correct questions. It also details the infinite sum formula to determine where the series converges to for geometric. These can easily be printed two on one page to reduce paper usage and fit with interactive notes.
Included are two copies of the flow chart. One is completely filled out so you just have to print it and pass it out to students. The second is a fill in the blank which is perfect to use for guided notes.
I use this for my AP Calculus, PreCalculus, and NC Discrete Math students.
